warranty period, except for losses of original or replacement material due to failure to comply with the specification requirements.
Replace dead or unhealthy trees and shrubs at the end of warranty period, unless, in the opinion of the Landscape Architect, it is advisable to extend the warranty period until the next full-growing season. If an extended warranty period is enacted, an inspection will be conducted at the end of the extended warranty period to determine acceptance or rejection of plant material under the warranty requirements.
Replacements: Plants of same size, quality and species as originally specified, planted in the next growing season, with a new one-year warranty commencing on date of replacement.
Provide landscape maintenance training for Hotel Albuquerque maintenance staff. Once a week for six (6) weeks after installation, the Contractor will conduct a regular inspection meeting with the site maintenance to review maintenance and recommend any adjustments for the health of the plants.
B. Adjust maintenance recommendations to incorporate decrease in irrigation frequency due to incorporation of Growstones amendment into soil.
PART 2 PRODUCTS
Plant Materials: All plants shall be as specified on the Planting Plans and shall be healthy, vigorous and representative of the species and variety. They shall have normal, well-developed branch and root systems. All plants shall be free of mechanical injury, free of sun or frost damage, free from insects, insect eggs and without disfiguring knots or other objectionable defects. All plant materials shall be selected for quality of the specimen. Plant material shall be nursery-grown except for aspen and local native pines.
C. Pruning: Plants shall not be pruned prior to delivery unless authorized.
D. Size: All plants shall equal or exceed minimum measurements specified on the plans. Grading of plant material shall be in accordance with the codes and standards of AAN. Any undergrade plants shall be removed and replaced prior to provisional acceptance.
