D. Pesticides: Submit for approval. Apply pesticides only if approved by Landscape Architect and in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. Remedy damage resulting from improper use of pesticides.

Herbicide: Submit for approval.

    Sand: Sand shall be clean and free from all deleterious matter.

  • G.

    Drains: As noted on the Drawings.

Filter Fabric for Subsurface Drainage: Mirafi 140N by Mirafi, Inc. or Typar 3301 Geotextile by Dupont or approved equal.

    • I.

      Staking Materials: Required only when indicated on the Drawings. Staking material shall be as specified on the Drawings. Stakting components will be:

      • 1.

        Ground Anchors: Laconia, 4 inch stamped steel, universal ground anchors. Three anchors per tree, buried a minimum of 30 inches into compacted soil.

      • 2.

        Cable, Wire, Eye Bolts and Turnbuckles: Non-corrosive galvanized steel or zinc coated, of sufficient strength to withstand wind pressure and resultant movement of trees.

      • 3.

        Rubber Hose: 314-inch diameter, black, rubber sleeves over cable to protect plant stems, trunks, and branches.

        WATER

A. Water for maintaining plants shall be clean and free from pollutants, which would be harmful to plant growth or contaminate the environment.

      • A.

        Plant Material Locations: Tree and shrub locations as shown on the planting plan are approximate only. Contractor is to stake all plant material locations as shown on the planting plan and under the direction of the Landscape Architect adjust the position and orientation of trees as required. Final positions of all plant material are subject to the approval of the Landscape Architect.

Preparation Ground Surface: Areas to be planted or mulched are to be free of rock/stones greater than one inch across, trash and other debris prior to beginning planting or mulching. Subgrades for planted and mulched areas
