Villa Alegre - Tract B
Balled and burlapped (B&B) plants shall be dug with firm, natural balls of earth, of a diameter and sufficient depth to include the fibrous and feeding roots. No plants will be accepted if the ball is cracked or broken before or during planting operations. Minimum acceptable standard for rootball size shall be 9 inches of root ball diameter for every 1 inch of caliper.
Roots or rootballs of all plants shall be adequately protected at all times from sun andlor drying winds. Balled and burlapped plants that cannot be planted immediately upon delivery or collection from the site shall be set on the ground and protected with soil, wet peat or other acceptable mulching material. Plants collected on-site and planted immediately after digging need not be burlapped.

Plants shall be pruned only on-site as directed by the Landscape Architect.
