Shop Drawings, design mix and test results must be reviewed by Architect prior to placement of any concrete. If test results are not submitted as specified, submit a field test record, several test records of tlial mixes, but the design mix shall be for a 28-day strength of 1200 psi greater than that specified. See "Minimum Cement" this specification.
Contractor shall notify the Architect for inspection of reinforcing prior to placement of concrete and during all pours. Notification shall be given at least two weekdays before the concrete placement is scheduled.
ACI CODE: Comply with American Concrete Institute's "Building Code Requirements for Reinforced Concrete (ASI 318) and "Specification for Structural Concrete for Buildings" CACI 301).

If more than 100 cubic yards or 5,000 sq. ft. of slab surface is placed in a single day, take an additional four minimum test cylinders for each additional 100 cubic yards or 5,000 sq. ft. of slab surface. Test the first of each group offour at seven days the second and third at 28 days and retain the fomth as a spare, which may be discarded after 60 days if strength is not questionable. No individual strength test (average of two cylinders) shall have a value more than 500 psi below the specified strength, and the average of any three consecutive strength tests shall be equal to or greater than the specified strength. Perfonn and document standard slump test as per ASTM C-143 at a frequency of one test per truckload or Ready-Mixed Concrete, or batch of Job-Mixed Concrete. Slump shall confonn to specifications.
