        Reinforcing Bars: ASTM A-615, Grade 60, Ties and Stirrups, Grade 40.

      • B.

        Joint Reinforcing: ASTM A-82 for High Tensile Steel. Truss type with

prefabricated corner and intersection sections, standard "Dur-O-WaIl", or equal with defonned side rods, such that minimum surface bond stress developed is 527 psi when incorporated in Standard ASTM Class A mortar cubes.

      CONCRETE MASONRY UNITS

      • A.

        Minimum properties:

          Minimum compressive strength 1350 psi Average Gross Area.

        • b.

          Linear Shrinkage may not exceed 0.030%.

        • c.

          Moisture content shall not exceed 25% ofTotal Absorption.

  • B.

    Interior Non-bearing:

      Interior non-bearing walls: ASTM C-90, Type S or Type N-I.

  • C.

    Bearing Walls:

    • a.

      Exterior walls, interior walls and masomy below grade: ASTM C-90, Type N-I.

  • D.

    Curing:

    • a.

      All units shall be held in storage for a period of not less than 28 days including curing pedod, unless strength and other test have indicated compliance with the standards of units shipped prior to the time.
