SCOPE OF WORK
The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools and equipment required to furnish and install shop fabricated items galvanized or prime painted, as described in this section and as shown on the Contract Drawings.
Design railing, wall rails·and attachments to resist lateral force of 75 pounds at any point without damage or pennanent set.
The Contractor shall provide descriptive submittals in accordance with the provisions of Section 01001 of theseSpecifications. Submittals include, but are not limited to, the following:
Shop Drawings: Indicate profiles, sizes, connection attachments, reinforcings, anchorages, size and type of fasteners and accessories.
Indicate welded connections using standard AWS A2.0 welding symbols. Indicate net weld lengths.
Part 2 PRODUCTS
Steel Sections: ASTM A36.
Steel Plate: ASTM A283.
Steel Tubing: ASTM A500, Grade B.
Pipe: ASTM A53, Grade B, Schedule 40.
Sheet Steel: ASTM A446, Grade B Structural Quality with galvanized coating.
Bolts, nuts and washers: ASTM A325 (galvanized to ASTM A153 for galvanized
Handrail Fittings: Elbows, T-shapes, wall brackets, escutcheons.
Welding Materials:A WS D 1.L .
L Touch-Up Primer for Galvanized Surfaces: Zinc rich type. J. Concrete and Reinforcement for Treads and Landings: Bar type, Portland cement,
as specified in Section 03001.
Fit and shop assemble items in largest practical sections, for delivery to site..
Continuously seal joined members by continuous welds.
