FINISH CARPENTRY AND MILLWORK
SCOPE OF WORK
The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools and equipment required to furnish and install finish carpentry items, other than shop prefabricated case work, hardware and attachment accessories, as described in this section and as shown on the Contract Drawings.
The Contractor shall provide Millwork descriptive submittals in accordance with the provisions of Section 01001 of these Specifications. Submittals include, but are not limited to, the following:
Shop Drawings: Indicate materials, component profiles, fastening methods, jointing details, finishes and accessories. Samples: Submit two 6 x 12 inch size samples illustrating wood grain and specified finish.
Performance in accordance with AWI Premium quality.
Conform to UBC and ANSI code for fire retardant requirements.
Part 2 PRODUCTS
Softwood Lumber: PS 20; Graded in accordance With AWl Custom, rotary sawn, maximum moisture content of 6 percent, with vertical grain and ofquality suitable for transparent finish.
Hardwood Lumber: Graded in accordance with AWI Custom rotary sawn, maximum moisture content of 8 percent, with vertical grain, and of quality suitable for transparent finish.
Lumber for transparent finish: Use pieces made of solid lumber stock; Birch Species. Glued up lumber at Contractors option for painted finish.
Exterior standing and running trim: Ponderosa Pine, C select. (U.O.N. on Construction Docs)
Interior standing and running trim: MDF (U.O.N. on Construction Documents).
