      • A.

        Conform to reference standard by date of issue current as ofdate of Contract Documents.

      • B.

        Should specified reference standard conflict with Contract Documents, request clarification from Architect before proceeding.

      INSPECTION AND TESTING LABORATORY SERVICES

      • A.

        Contractor will appoint, as approved by the Owner and Architect, and employ services of an independent firm to perform inspection and testing. Contractor shall pay for services from a specified Cash Allowance.

      • B.

        The independent firm will perform inspections, test, and other services as required.

      • C.

        Cooperate with independent firm; furnish samples as requested.

      • D.

        Re-testing required because of non-conformance to specified requirements will be charged to the Contractor.

      MANUFACTURERS' FIELD SERVICES AND REPORT

      • A.

        When specified in individual specification sections, require material or Product suppliers or manufacturers to provide qualified staff personnel to observe site conditions and to initiate instructions when necessary.

      • B.

        Report observations and site decisions or instructions that are supplemental or contrary to manufacturers' written instructions.

      TEMPORARY ELECTRICITY

      • A.

        Cost: Contractor to provide and pay for power service required from source.

      • B.

        Provide power outlets for construction operations, branch wiring, distribution boxes, and flexible power cords as required.

      TEMPORARY LIGHTING FOR CONSTRUCTION PURPOSES

      • A.

        Provide and maintain temporary lighting for construction operations.

      • B.

        Provide branch wiring from power source to distribution boxes with lighting conductors, pigtails, and lamps as required.

      • C.

        Pennanent building lighting may be utilized during construction. Repair, clean and replace lamps at end of constmction.

    • 1.27

      TEMPORARY HEAT

      • A.

        Provide heating devices and heat as needed to maintain specified conditions for constmction operations.

      • B.

        Contractor will pay the cost of energy used.

      • C.

        Maintain minimum ambient temperature of 50 degrees F in areas where constmction is in progress, unless indicated othelwise in specifications.

    • 1.28

      TEMPORARY VENTILATION

      • A.

        Ventilate enclosed areas to assist cure ofmaterials, to dissipate humidity and to prevent accumulation of dust, fumes, vapors or gas.
