SCOPE OF WORK
The Contractor shall provide al1labor, materials, tools and equipment required to furnish and install access panels, as described in this section and as shown on the Contract Drawings.
The Contractor shall provide descriptive submittals in accordance with the provisions of Section 01001 ofthese Specifications. Submittals include, but are not limited to, the following:
Catalog data describing model, size, and specifications for frame, panel, hinge, latch, and finish.
Manufacturers current recommended method of installation, showing all required blocking.
Access panels shall be metal type, primed, suitable for drywall application; panel flush with the drywall surface. Tile is scheduled for the restroom walls.
Size and locations shown on the Contract Drawings.
Design is based on "Larsen's" Drywall Access Panels, model L-DWC. Frame: 16 gauge cold-rolled steel. Panel: 14 gauge cold-rolled steeL Hinge: concealed pin type. Latch: Flush screwdriver cam. Finish: Phosphate dipped gray primed.
Before installing the work of this section, the Contractor shall carefully inspect the installed work of all trades and verify that all such work is complete to the point where this installation may properly commence.
The Contractor shall verify that the installation of the access panels will be in accordance with the original design, the approved submittal and the manufacturer's recommendations.
