Verify that layout of hangers will not interfere with other work
The Contractor shall install the ceiling suspension system to comply with UBC Seismic Zone 2 requirements, with ASTM C636 and the manufacturers recommended installation procedures. Install the ceiling in the pattem shown on the Contract Drawings and in compliance with the approved shop drawings.
The Contractor shall install ceiling systems in a manner capable of supporting all superimposed loads including light fixtures and ceiling grilles, with maximum permissible deflection of 1/360 of span and maximum surface deviation of 1/8 inch in 10 feet (1/960).
The Contractor shall install all acoustical ceiling boards in the exposed tee grid system so that linearity of facing is in one direction only and to the approval of the Architect.
Coordinate the location of hangers with other work Where components prevent the regular spacing of hangers, reinforce the system to span the extra distance. Hang the system independent of walls, columns, duct, pipes and conduit. Install edge molding at intersection of ceiling and vertical surfaces using longest practical lengths.
The Contractor shall completely remove all fingerpIints and traces of soil from the surfaces of the gIid and the acoustical ceiling boards, using only those cleaning materials specifically recommended for the purpose by the manufacturers of the materials cleaned.
A. Fumish spare acoustical panels in the amount of one box containing a minimum of 50 panels. END OF SECTION
