FINISHING MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT
Refer to Division 15 and 16 for schedule of color-coding, identification banding or equipment, ductwork piping and conf1ict.
Color code items in accordance with requirements indicated. Color band and identify with f10w arrows names and numbering.
Paint shop primed equipment.
Remove unfinished louvers, grilles, covers and access panels and paint separately. Paint dampers exposed behind louvers, grilles, eonverter and baseboards cabinets to match face panels.
Prime and paint insulated and exposed pipes, insulated and exposed ducts, hangers, brackets, covers and supports, except where items are prefinished.
Paint exposed conduit and electrieal equipment occurring in finished areas except prefinished surfaces.
Paint both sides and edges of plywood backboards.
Reinstall electrical cover plates, hardware, light fixture trim, escutcheons and fittings removed prior to finishing.
Names and numbers such as ProMar or A-IOO are based on painting by Sherwin Williams.
One coat red oxide primer (unless shop primed).
Two coats Metalastic II Enamel (alkyd gloss enamel)(2.0 mils)
One coat Galvite, B50 W 3 (acrylic primer)
Two coats Metalastic II enamel (alkyd gloss enamel)(2.0 mils)
One coat heavy duty bloek filler B42 W 46 acrylic resin block filler
Two coats a-I 00 f1at Latex House and Trim latex paint (1.4 mils)
One coat A-IOO Alkyd Exterior Wood Primer, Y24W20 (2.2 mils)
Two coats SWP Gloss House and Trim A2 Series (alkyd base) (2.0 mils)
