SCOPE OF WORK
A. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools and equipment required to furnish all site earthwork and to grade the site to the finished grades shown on the Contract Drawings. This work shall include excavation and backfill, subgrade preparations, construction of fills and embankments, surfacing and grading, shoring and protection work, handling and disposal of all excavated waste material and associated work as described in this Section.

A. Type A - Coarse stone and gravel Pit run, Crushed, washed natural stone; free of shale, clay, friable material, sand debris' graded within the following limits: a. Minimum Size: Yz inch b. Maximum Size: 2 inch B. Type B - Pea Gravel: Natural stone; washed, free of clay, shale, organic matter: a. Minimum Size: Yt inch b. Maximum Size: 5/8 inch C. Type C - Sand: Natural river or bank sand; free of silt, clay, loam, friable or soluble materials and organic matter. D. Type D - Subsoil: Reused and/or Imported free of rock larger than 3 inch size and debris. EXECUTION

A. Identify required lines, levels, contours and datum.
Topsoil: Reused and/or imported friable loam; free of subsoil, roots, grass, excessive amount of weeds, large stone and foreign matter.
Subsoil: Imported and excavated material, graded free oflumps larger than 6 inches, rocks larger than 3 inches and debris.
