        GRADING

A The Contractor shall uniformly grade transition areas and general site areas within the limits of construction. The areas affected by earthwork shall be smooth finished and uniformly graded between the points where elevations are shown or between such points and existing grades. Grading shall provide for unimpeded drainage of the ground areas. At changes in slope, construct a rolled transition section having a minimum radius of approximately 8"-0", unless adjacent construction will not pelruit such a transition or if such a transition defeats the positive control of drainage. B. The Contractor shall grade sloped areas for which elevations are not specified to a maximum slope of2 horizontal to 1 verticaL Spot elevation tolerances shall be +114 inch beneath concrete slabs or asphalt paving and +1- 0.1 foot for all other areas. The slope tolerance beneath concrete slabs or asphalt paving shall be + Yz inch per 10 feet in any direction from the specified grade.
