The Contractor shall maintain graded areas free of trash and debris until final inspection has been completed and the work has been accepted by the Architect. No further excavation, filling or grading in approved areas will be allowed unless authorized by the Architect.
The Contractor shall use all means necessary to control dust on or near the site and on or near all off-site borrow areas if such dust is caused by the Contractor's operation or if resulting from the condition in which the Contractor leaves the site. Dust control shall be deemed necessary if such dust is a nuisance to the public, adjacent functions or concurrent performance of other work on the site.
The Contractor shall protect and preserve existing trees and other vegetation designated to remain on the Contract Drawings, or as directed by the Architect. The Contractor shall repair or replace damaged items as directed by the Architect at no expense to the Owner.
The Contractor shall make every effort to avoid damaging existing utility lines or disrupting services to existing facilities. Should buried marker tape be unearthed, the Contractor shall hand excavate to determine the nature and location of the utility line. The Contractor shall undertake excavation work with the understanding that mislocated utility lines may exist in the area.
The Contractor shall protect all newly graded areas from traffic and erosion before acceptance of the work. The Contractor shall repair or regrade damaged areas to required elevations and slopes at no expense to the Owner.
