Hydrostatically test the continuously pressurized part of the in'igation system at 100 PSI as specified in the Uniform Plumbing Code for 4 hours continuously. Lines between the master valve and zone valves shall be tested in the same manner at 100 PSI for 4 hours continuously. Laterals shall be tested at existing static or a minimum of70-PSI pressure for 2 hours continuously. Pressure gauges shall be installed on the line being tested.
Lines passing hydrostatic pressure test shall be concealed the same day if nighttime temperatures are to be 32 F degrees or below.
COVERAGE AND ADJUSTMENT
When the sprinkler system is completed, perform a coverage test to determine if the water coverage for planting areas is complete and adequate and that spray does not hit buildings, walks and other locations where not required. Provide all materials and perform all labor necessary to correct any inadequacies of coverage, as directed by the Landscape Architect. Upon completion of the installation ofthe system, contractor shall adjust all heads, valves, and program controller, to provide optimum sprinkler system performance.
Final inspection and acceptance will be made by the Landscape Architect following physical completion of all the contract work.
Acceptance ofthe Underground Irrigation System is based on the Contractor furnishing a complete as-built set of plans and an operations and maintenance manual acceptable to the Landscape Architect.
