Container Stock: Plants designated as "Container" grown in various sizes and type containers in the plant list shall be of a size and stage of development normal in the nursery industry for the size container in which they are specified. They shall have been grown in their containers long enough to have developed good, round root systems capable of holding the soil intact after removal from the container, but not so long as to have become root bound. Any root-bound material will not be accepted. Plants shall be grown in the container of the size designated in the plant list for at least 6 months.
Ground Cover: Provide well rooted, established ground cover in removable containers or integral peat pots, with not less than the minimum number and length of runners required by ANSI Z60.1 for the pot size specified. Ground covers grown in peat pots shall have roots throughout the container or protruding through the sides of the peat pot.
FERTILIZERS AND ADDITIVES
A. Fertilizer: Fertilizer to be Gro-Power Plus.
Gro-Power Plus 5-3-1 with soil penetrant. Apply at
150 Ibs. to 200 lbs. per 1000 square feet. Rototill Gro-Power Plus into
the top 6" to 8" of soil. 2. Individual Plants: Use Gro-power 7 Gram Planting Tablets at the
following rate unless otherwise noted on Drawings.
4 Inch Pot:
Provide 1 tablet per pot
1 Gallon Plant: Provide 2 tablets per plant
5 Gallon Plant:
Provide 6 tablets per five gallon shrub
Tree 2" Calor less:
Tree 2 Yz" Calor larger:
18 tablets per tree 24 tablets per tree
B. Additives! Plant Stimulants: Soil additives and plant stimulants such as Ironite, Super Phosphate and Superthrive shall be applied as needed to maintain healthy plant growth and reduce transplant stress.
