DRAINAGE AND WASTE DISPOSAL
Is there a procedure or contract for regular waste removal?
This procedure must describe how often waste will be removed. It also includes segregation requirements for paper, fruit and other waste. If a contractor removes the waste, the depot must provide proof of a contract and documented proof that waste was taken away.
Does the depot have documented hygiene instructions?
The instructions must at least include:
- the need for hand cleaning;
- the covering of skin cuts;
- limitation on smoking, eating and drinking to certain areas;
- notification of any relevant infections or conditions;
- wearing of jewellery
- the use of suitable protective clothing.
It should also be included in a hygiene instruction that staff must report illnesses to management.
The hygiene instructions are applicable to staff, management, visitors and contractors to the depot.
Do workers implement these hygiene instructions in 7.1?
