The cleaning and sanitizing chemical(s) should be ‘fit for purpose”, a MSDS sheet should be provided for each chemical used and/or it should be of food grade.
Are containers kept closed after washing and drying?
This is to prevent the ingress of pests and contamination (dust).
Is there a procedure in place for washing of containers?
This cleaning procedure must detail how glass, taint and other contaminants will be cleaned from containers, what chemicals will be used, and how the cleaning will be verified.
