VP REPORT

Teri Roberts

Happy New Year!

Isn’t it great that each year we can start fresh with high hopes of getting all those unfinished quilting projects done and starting a few new ones

that have been stacking up on our shelves, marked in our quilting magazines or on our idea boards? Conquering the paper clutter is also high

on

my

list

of

things

to

do

this

year.

I’m

going

to

make a new 2011 Get “R” working on these quilts.

list

and

start

There are lots of opportunities to participate in quilting activities in 2011. Lynn Woods has set up wonderful programs for us this year. In addition to the regular programs, there is the Mystery quilt, the Black and White with a Splash president’s challenge, Quilting Day at Heritage Village in March, Quilt Retreat in April, Brown Bag Challenge, and charity quilt activities. There is a lot of work that goes into organizing and setting up these programs and activities, so sign up for a couple of them and have fun with other PQ members. Please support your guild in 2011.

I want to thank the following people for help sewing and decorating the fabric picture frames that were given as favors at the Christmas party: Susan Herman, Pauline Mallory, Karen O’Malley, Marguerite Connolly, Mary Ann Leonard, Barbara Leonard, Jill French, Joanne Kyne, and Elaine Rice. Also, I want to thank Elaine Rice and Lynn Woods for helping to decorate and set up the room for the Christmas Party. And last but definitely not least, to all of the PQ members - thank all of you who took down tables and chairs

and who cleaned up after the Christmas party.

THANKS!

Congratulations to Karen O’Malley

on

winning the pie slice and pie opportunity Karen, we hope to see that quilt soon. Teri
