PQ Retreat Sign Up ****Need a count for Day Springs by Jan. 29, 2011****
I need to give a count to Day Springs by Jan. 29th. Once I give them a count, Day Springs will take back some of the 42 slots we currently have reserved and will only give them back if space remains. As a result, availability may be limited after this point. If you plan to attend please make your deposit before Jan 29th, otherwise you may miss out.
Sign up for the PQ Spring retreat at Day Springs will continue as long as space remains.
To secure your spot please make your initial deposit of $100 by mail or at the next PQ meeting.

Where: Day Spring Episcopal Conference Center 25th St. Parrish, Florida
When: April 29 - May 1, 2011
Cost: $200 due in full March 1, 2011
Deposit required: $100
Accommodations: Cabins with semi private rooms.
Total spots: 42
Members only until March 1, 2011. After this date non-members will be admitted at an additional charge and only if space is available.

Committee members are needed to help plan the retreat.
The time commitment is usually one or two meetings prior to the retreat. (late Feb & March/April) I keep track of action items and follow up via e-mail so that when we meet, we can keep the meeting to one hour. During the retreat each committee member will be responsible for one or two drawings.
I will continue to handle, overall planning, sign up, communication to members, communication with Day Springs and cabin assignment.
Responsibilities can include one of the following:
Solicitation for gifts – I have a list of past
Games – 1 or 2 … I have some ideas
Welcome bags construction, stuffing &
purchase of items
Snack planning and purchase/sign up
Drawings – schedule
Late night pizza purchase
This will be my last year as chair of this committee, having served for 3 years. I have spreadsheets, notes, contact information and budget info I can pass along. It is really not very difficult & having a good committee greatly reduces the work load. I have been very fortunate to work with a great group of ladies & have enjoyed doing this. I will gladly help the person who steps forward for 2012. If you are considering this role, please think about joining the committee so you can learn the job first hand.
