WANTED – Gently used books

NEW FREE bom for 2011!

Little Miss Shabby

Robin Van Scoy

My son, Alex, is collecting gently used books for a school service project.

Are you cleaning up and organizing after the holidays? Do you have an abundance of books that you have read and are looking to move them on to new readers? Have your children out grown the books on their book shelves? Well we can help you!

Alex is collecting new or gently used books, not necessarily quilting books, as part of his 4th grade Brooker Creek School Service Project. The books will be sold at a Book Sale that Alex will be running in early/mid Feb. All of the proceeds will be donated to the local East Lake Community Library.

Feel free to bring your books to the January meeting or contact Robin for an alternative pickup at 727-945-0851 or email evanscoy@tampabay.rr.com.

I found this adorable little Freebie by Jodie at Little Missy Shabby (www.littlemissshabby.com). It just started in December and promises to be a cute little stitchery type BOM. The list of supplies needed and the first pattern are available at: http://www.littlemissshabby.com/2010/12/birdie- stitches-supply-list/

Thank you in advance for your support of this school and literacy project that will have a direct impact on the local community.

Did you know?? A hexagon is measured by the length of its side, not the size that it makes. Who knew???
