Legislative Update from the Health Care Authority
Medicaid Update: As many of you know, the Oklahoma Healthcare Authority has been exploring a rule change which would allow master degreed Licensed Behavioral Health Practitioners (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LBP) to bill OKHCA directly for Medicaid clients. e great news is that through the eorts of Dr. Leah Taylor with help from Dr. Philip Budd (President Elect for OKMHCA) and Dr. Laura Boyd, the rule change was passed by the Healthcare Authority Board. is rule change will help rural communities and add additional constituents to the practices of LPCs.
