Dr. Philip Budd will be the moderator for the panel of licensed board members that will present ethical dilemmas.
Ethics Workshop: Part 1: Counseling and Spirituality: Ethical Management of Religious and Spiritual Issues in Counseling:
This first hour of ethics will examine the ways client and therapist spirituality may impact the work of the counselor. In particular, ethical dilemmas will be explored as part of the counseling process. Should counselors work with spiritual issues and if so, how do we maintain our professional stance?
Part 2: Ethics Panel: A panel of license board members and experienced counselors will discuss current ethical challenges for counselors. Case material will be considered and questions from the attendees will be fielded.

SUPERVISION REDUX V Constructing Supervision Agreements and understanding A three Hour Excursion into Best Practices
A three hour workshop exploring “best Practice” standards for supervision of professional counselors and marital and family therapists. You will be invited to re-vision your philosophy and purposes of supervision and to construct your personal Supervision Agreement. This is an experiential and interactive workshop. It should be an enjoyable, challenging process. I will share resource materials, and my perspectives. Bring a laptop, if you have one (not mandatory). this workshop has been pre- approved by the Professional Counselor Office.
Trainer: Marc Charney, Ph.D. LPC, LMFT Marc has over 30 years experience as a clinician and 25 years as a professor/trainer. He is on the faculty of the Human Relations Department, OU and OCU, where he teaches family therapy and counseling courses. He is co-founder/clinical director of Family and Children’s Consultants, Inc. He is an AAMFT Approved Supervisor and an Approved LPC/LMFT Supervisor in Oklahoma.
