GOVERNMENT HOUSE RESIDENCE DU GOUVERNEUR GENERAL
It gives me great pleasure to welcome to Canada all the delegates for the International Commission of Military History. In addi- tion to your stay in the national capital, where your meetings will be held, many of you will be taking this opportunity to visit Quebec City, Kingston and Louisbourg. I hope that these visits and your deliberations will be fruitful, and that the broadening of your knowledge and your understanding of the historical events will contribute to the building of a better world, a world more eager for peace.
I would also like to associate myself with all Canadians in congratulating you on the fortieth anniversary of the founding of the In- ternational Commission of Military History.
