Shore’s main exploration camp, located within claim blocks #135767 and 135765, was located approximately 12 km northeast of the project site and was constructed to provide accommodations for Shore staff and its contractors. It was operational from August, 2005 to February, 2009. The Shore camp consisted of the following buildings:

  • one 80 person building with kitchen, dining room, TV room and wash facilities;

  • three 5-room bunk houses;

  • one washroom – shower facility and attached dry;

  • a recreation centre;

  • genset area; and

  • parking area.

Electricity to all buildings and bunkhouses in the main exploration camp was provided by two diesel power gensets (a 125 KVa and a 300 KVa). Utility water was pumped from local wells near the main exploration camp, and drinking water was trucked in.

All diesel fuel utilized at both the project site and at the main exploration camp was purchased in the Prince Albert area and transported by fuel trucks.
