CLIFFORD DEVLIN ADDS DRILLING AND SAWING

Demolition contractor Clifford Devlin has established a new division for drilling and sawing to supplement its portfolio of specialist services in inner-city demolition. The company is now be able to offer diamond drilling, wire, track and floor sawing directly as part of integrated project packages.

The new division will be headed-up by Richard Simpson who joins Clifford Devlin after

spending four years as a senior contracts manager at Keltbray.

NEW WASTE ARM FOR KELTBRAY

Keltbray Hunt Limited has announced that the assets of Barham Group including Barham Waste Services have been purchased by Keltbray Hunt Limited. Keltbray Hunt Limited, a new company jointly owned by Keltbray Group and the current shareholders of Barham Group, will trade as Hunts Waste. “Hunts Waste has been recycling waste from their headquarters in East London for nearly a decade. It is our plan to work together to build on the successful business performance achieved to date, and to strengthen the Keltbray Group delivery ability to clients by offering them access to a recycling hub,” says Keltbray Group managing director Brendan Kerr. “I am thrilled we are growing our integrated range of specialist construction services by developing our capabilities in waste management and recycling, which will assist us in steering a steady course to both deliver and expand our project stream by adding commercial and environmental value.”

PIRTEK OPENS TRAINING CENTRE

Emergency on-site hose replacement provider Pirtek has opened a new National Training Centre in central Birmingham. The Centre which will provide a variety of training courses for Pirtek personnel from across the UK and Ireland was officially opened by the Chairman of Pirtek Europe, Kelvin Roberts. “The new Training Centre has live, working plant and machinery for trainees to work on, providing valuable hands on experience,” concludes National Training Manager Martyn Smart who will head up the new facility. “We have been well supported by both our customers and our suppliers to enable the environment to be as realistic as possible” The Pirtek National Training Centre is located at Unit 1, Rea Court, 40 Trent Street, Digbeth, Birmingham B5 5NL.
