Payne:  But silver was the important thing, wasn’t it?

Ray:  Yes.

Payne:  A girl had to have her silver.

Ray:  Yes … yes. (laughter)

Payne:  Do you still use your Strasburg?

Ray:  I have it but I don’t use it much.  I use on occasion.  

Payne:  Do you put it in the dishwasher?

Ray:  Yes.

Payne:  No.  You hand wash it?

Ray:  Yes.

Payne:  And you still in that house?

Ray:  Yes.

Ray:  Well, not too much.  I started baking cakes … made cakes and sold them and give the money to the Methodist youth.

Payne:  What kind of cakes?

Ray:  Cream cheese pound cakes.

Payne:  Oh.

Ray:  I raised a hundred thousand dollars for them.

Payne:  You what?

Ray:  I raised a hundred thousand dollars for the youth … over a twenty year period.

Payne:  Selling cakes?

Ray:  Hard to believe?
