Alf Heiberg:  Keeping well and active in the TROA.  Had a convention to attend in his area which prevented his attending the last bandleaders convention.

Jane & Elmer Laub:  Elmer keeps busy watching the grass grow and then keeping himself and the yard in good shape, cutting and weeding.  Both are doing fine and in good health.

Gertrude & Gene Dieter:  Have had a hot and humid summer in New Hampshire this year.  The yard, garden, etc., keeps Gene busy; his fly fishing was not good this summer so the garden looks great.

LAST CHORD:

Vernon Marston passed away 22 Jul 84.  Vernon had been fighting kidney failure for 3 yrs; had kidney stones, gall stones and a stomach ulcer.  He could not have surgery because of his heart.

He went into a coma and passed away in his sleep.

Vernon was one of the most outstanding pioneers in the USAF music field.  He will be missed by all of us.
