Dr. Ernest S. Williams (1881-1947)

Founder of the Ernest S. Williams School of Music.  Famous cornet soloist with the Goldman Band and the Conway Concert Band.

Dr. D.O. Wiley (1898-1980) Texas Bandmasters Association

Father of the Texas Bands, where he was at Texas Tech for 25 years.  Pioneer of the Texas Music Educators Association, where he was the first full time director and the Sec./Tres. of Education.
