Sizing Your Binder

Capacity is the overall thickness of material the rings will hold. It is not the width of the outside spine of the cover.

To determine the capacity of an existing ring binder, measure across the inside diameter of the ring as shown to left. (The overall size of the rings is slightly larger than the stated capacity.)

To determine the desired capacity for a first-time purchase, consider the number of pages you expect the binder to hold. Use the table to the lower left as your guide.

Capacity 1/23/41” 1 ½” 2” 2 ½” 3”

Number Of Sheets 20 lb bond 100 150 200 300 400 500 600

Remember, when Also, D-rings will

including index tabs, allow for extra capacity. hold a few more sheets than round ring metals.

Boostered vs. Non-Boostered

Eskco uses boostered ring metals to extend the life of the ring mechanism. If you prefer non-boostered ring metals, call for custom quote.
