Our goals for 2004-05 are: (1) to help Castle raise donations to acquire a F-102 Delta Dagger, (2) continue to track down former 456ers, (3) add more pictures and stories to the 456th web site and (4) plan / conduct another 456th Reunion at Dayton Ohio in 2005. (5) We’ll also continue helping other air museums acquire the last seven F-106s in the AMARC inventory.

That’s right, CAM is going after a F-102A and if the 456th comes through with the bulk of the donations we stand a great chance of getting it painted in squadron colors. We’d love to have a picture of a 456th F-102 if anybody has one. CAM has a TF-102 currently sitting in the back yard but it’s in terrible shape. Parts are almost non-existent for the TF models since there were so few of them built. CAM Executive Director, Jean Astorino has been in touch with the USAF Museum folks in Dayton to track down a Duece. They are very difficult to find these days and AMARC has none left.

2005 Reunion Update Bob and Polly Justus have spent time at Wright-Patterson AFB and the USAF Museum in Dayton checking out details for the 2005 reunion. The Alumni Committee is going to meet there on May 1-2-3, 2004 to finalize the agenda and dates for 2005. The USAF Museum has recently expanded and there is much to see and do. The Aviation Trail is also a great way to review the birth of flight through visits to the key sites Wilbur and Orville Wright made famous. See the "Next Reunion" button on the web site at http://www.456fis.org . We need to have some indication of how many attendees we’ll have so please e-mail or write me back and let me know if you plan to attend and how many will be in your party. I know it’s difficult to be specific without a firm date but we will let you know as soon as we can select a weekend in the spring or fall of 2005 that assures us maximum hotel availability. We are estimating that our total group size will probably be about 100
