The mission of the Winona County Citizen Review Panel is to improve the child protection system through the involvement of citizens who represent the community.

In 2007, the Winona County Citizen Review Panel met on January 10, February 14, March 14, April 11, May 9, June 13, August 8, September 12 (Orientation of New Members), October 10, November 14 and December 12, at Winona County Department of Human Services from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Winona County Panel members have continued to address truancy and tardiness by serving on a county-wide task force and monitoring the work of the task force.
Panel members supported a resolution to support A Minnesota Without Poverty Initiative to educate the public and legislators about child welfare financing in Minnesota.
Mary Feathergill is collaborating with other county panel members to coordinate the National Citizen Review Panel Conference scheduled for May 21-23, 2008 in St. Paul. The entire panel will be working on materials related to our work to be displayed at the conference. Jean Stockwell has invited a university student with graphic design experience to aid in this work.
