Mr. Meachum advised of the recent death of Mr. Donnie Wilhite, advising that Mr. Wilhite
has made many contributions to Bossier Parish. Motion was made by Mr. Meachum, seconded by
Dr. Shell, to authorize the preparation of a resolution in honor and memory of Mr. Donnie
Wilhite for his many contributions to Bossier Parish. Motion carried unanimously.
Mr. Altimus reported that six Bossier Master Plan Community Meetings are scheduled. Ms.
Stephanie Edmiston, Bossier City-Parish MPC, stated that these are neighborhood meetings and are
scheduled in different areas of the parish, as follows:

Mr. John Noles reported that $5.5 million has been appropriated to the Louisiana National
Guard for development of a boot camp at the Louisiana Army Ammunition Plant. He stated that the
camp is to be a 17-month program for young adults.
Motion was made by Mr. Hammack, seconded by Mr. Mitchell, to adjourn into
executive session for discussion of the matter of Billy Brooks Hudson, et. al. v. City of Bossier
City, et. al. Motion carried unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Bossier Parish Police Jury in regular and
legal session on this 15th day of August, 2001, the meeting was adjourned by the President at 5:00
