Responded to more than 2,000 auto accidents, rendered first aid, investigated causation, determined fault, and issued citations as required. Completed offense reports and testified in both District and Superior Courts. Transferred to Motor Vehicle Enforcement Unit 11/86.
11/86 to 10/94 CITY OF FALL RIVER POLICE DEPT., Fall River, MA Motor Vehicle Enforcement Unit Motor Officer Motorcycle operation and patrol, traffic direction & crowd control, conducted RADAR speed enforcement, and issued citations for motor vehicle violations. Investigated over 400 traffic accidents to determine fault. Completed accident and offense reports, issued citations and testified in both District and Superior Courts, many occasions as an expert witness.
5/89 to 4/01/05 CITY OF FALL RIVER POLICE DEPT., Fall River MA Motor Vehicle Enforcement Unit Accident Investigation Team Conducted Accident Reconstructions for over 375 serious injury and fatal motor vehicle collisions; determined chain of events, causation, motor vehicle violations, contributing factors and fault. Prepared accident reconstruction reports and collision scene diagrams. Testified as an expert witness in District, Superior and Federal Courts. Pioneered first hazardous intersection survey program conducted by the city, to determine if certain traffic control installation requests were warranted. Retired 4/2/05.
1990 to Present: CRASHTECH ACCIDENT FORENSICS, Fall River, MA Owner/Reconstructionist Directs and coordinates all investigative operations.
