Jan 24th Travis James was fishing with my son Brandon up at the 16 Mile Bridge.  Travis landed a pretty nice Dolly Varden using the 3" Worm combined with a piece of Dew Worm.

Summary: The warmer weather and excellent river conditions have encouraged many anglers to fish the Kitimat River. Many anglers in the North West are always anxious get out fishing especially when the conditions are as good as they were this week.

Many anglers are gearing up to fish on their days off this week and if "Mother Nature" co-operates with some continued nice weather the good Trout and Steelhead results will also continue.

DOUGLAS CHANNEL: The weather for Winter Chinook fishing in the Douglas Channel was excellent this week. Chris Lévesque reports watching a pod of Killer Whales right in front of Eurocan Dock on Thursday and Friday.  He noticed a couple of boats trolling on Thursday but they left after the Killer Whales showed up.  Just when the weather conditions for Winter Chinook fishing were perfect and the Winter Chinook started to group up in the Kitimat Harbour,  Mother Nature throws us curve with the Killer Whales coming into the harbour and scattering the fish.  "Such is life in the Fishing World".  Stay Tuned!

Thank You to everyone for providing photos and info for this Fishing Report.

Good Health! Good Fishing!
