Concerts on the Lawn 2010
With Tripping Lily’s last song, the 2010 Concerts on the Lawn season came to a close. We wanted to take a minute to thank all our performers for doing such a great job and to thank everyone who came to a concert for your support of the library and the Bourne Food Pantry. We were able to raise several bags of groceries for the pantry and we could not have been more pleased. All concerts are brought to you by the Dewey Classic Miniature Golf Tournament. Please think about becoming
friends at the Bourne Food Pantry. ____________________________________
Dancing With the Stars Of Bourne
On September 19, 2010 at 5:00 p.m., the Friends of the Jonathan Bourne Public Library will be hosting Dancing with the Stars of Bourne at the Coonamessett Inn in Falmouth. This program promises to be a gala evening of dining and dancing.
Six couples will be trying their luck at three different dances, The Waltz, Merengue and Swing, and competing to be the top dance couple. The six couples are Heather and Jonathan DiPaolo, Sharon and Steve Hamilton, Jan and Bill Reardon, Mary and Ian Meli, Leona Bombaci and Jim Corbitt and Gloria Bzdula and Don MacLean.
Each couple will be dancing for a charity of their choice. Audience members may pay $1 for the couple they wish to support. There is no limit to the number of times that a person can pay to vote for a couple. Charities will be listed the night of the contest.
