Elegant Evenings (Hands On) Discharge paste and Burn Out paste are used to turn rayon/silk velvet and satin into wonderful evening wraps and jackets. Watch the magic right before your eyes as the pastes remove color and fibers. During the demonstration you will see samples of the use of these two products. Then it is up to you to make something wonderful, adding beads, fringe, stitching or other creative sewing for your one of a kind evening sensation. Simple to Sensational Pockets (Hands On) See what a pocket can do to make a statement on a garment. You will see lots of samples, and then make a few samples of your own. Learn new tricks for patch and side seam pockets along with some great ways to decorate a jacket, skirt, pants or shirt with a pocket everyone will notice. Couching Cords and Threads (Hands On) You just bought another wonderful cord, yarn or thread, but it won't go through the needle or work in the bobbin. What to do? Couch it! In this hands-on workshop you will learn how to use novelty cords, yarns and threads with specialty sewing feet to turn ordinary into extraordinary. Wonderful Ribbon Extravaganza (Hands On) Hand dyed bias cut silk ribbon is turned into scarves, jackets, garments and purses. You will see samples and demonstrations of ways to use this glorious ribbon. Because it is bias cut it doesn't fray and is pliable to work with as you create special accent, accessory or garments.
