1944 in Plentywood, MT,

to Joe Kelly and Laura Williams-Kelly. He grew up in small towns across Montana, and graduated in 1963 from High School. He married Lenora Lasar in 1965, together they had two children, Brian Keith and Karen Dawn. Sam and Lenora separated in 1975. On July 1976 he married Alpha (Dolly) Finigan, the love of his life; they enjoyed 32

years together.

Sam was a workaholic who always liked to keep busy. He worked a variety of jobs, employed as everything from a police officer (his favorite job) to a school bus driver. He enjoyed teaching others computers, Morse code and Ham radio operations.

Sam was a member of the Temple Baptist Church. He was the president of the Great Falls Area Amateur Radio Club for 2 years. He received a presidential award for 4000 hours of volunteer service in the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. Sam loved to hunt, and went camping as often as possible. He loved to help others, and was always willing to drop everything to help a friend in need. He seemed to forever be full of humor, and always making new friends. Sam was an avid Ham radio operator and loved to connect with people around the world (rag chewing). He loved eagles and collected many beautiful eagle hick-hacks.

Sam was a kind hearted and loving husband, brother,father

and

grandfather

who will be greatly missed by so many.

Survivors include his wife, Dolly Kelly of Sun Prairie

village; son, Brian Kelly, granddaughter

and Shawn also of Billings; brother, David Kelly of

Falls; and sister Eunice Garcia of

and many neicesand nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Kelly and Laura Birk, and his stepfather,Carl Birk.
