he completed two rides of about one thousand miles, with a long day of one hundred

sixteen miles. He offers advice on weather, roads and maps as well as his interesting

interactions with the local people.  He traveled in April and May, 1988, with his producer

driving ahead to line up interviews, do local research and locate accommodations.  He

rode across the pampa and Patagonia.
