Section 508 of the Federal Rehabilitation Act says that all

government-funded requests for purchase must include

provisions to meet the technology needs of people with

disabilities.

This ties in with the ADA Act that requires reasonable

accommodation for employees and the Telecommunication Act

that demands access to the Internet for the disabled.
