The FT-MPI specification introduces some new attributes, reflecting the ex- tended functionality of this specifications. These attributes can be retrieved for the default communicators MPI COMM WORLD and MPI COMM SELF, and can not be altered by the user.
FTMPI RECOVERY MODE: This attribute returns the current re- covery mode.
FTMPI COMM MODE: This attribute returns the current communi- cator mode.
FTMPI MSG MODE: This attribute returns the current message mode.
FTMPI COLL MODE: This attribute returns the current collective communication mode.
FTMPI NUM FAILED PROCS: This attribute returns the number of failed processes since the last recovery operation.
FTMPI ERROR FAILURE: This attribute returns an error code. Us- ing MPI Error string and the error code provided in the attribute, the user can retrieve a string containing the ranks of the failed processes in MPI COMM WORLD. As with the previous attribute, the values provided by these attributes are always replaced by a new one, every time the recovery function is called.
