Students learn about:

report writing (including the preparation of documentation to support experimental work and the production of practical projects)

a range of computer software applications

industry terminology

produce engineering drawings and charts including material lists, flow charts, Gantt charts

apply Australian drawing standards to engineering drawings

prepare reports detailing the design and construction of experiments or projects, processes and equipment

prepare and present reports using a variety of software and hardware

recall specialist terms and use them in the appropriate context

Societal and Environmental Impact

the impact of alternative energy on society and the physical environmental

analyse the use of an alternative energy source in terms of its effect on society and the environment, eg solar power, wind farms
