Reference 2009 [Caillon et al., 2003] only analyses a period between
230,000 and 255,000 years ago (spanning ‘Termination III’), thus does not analyse the last 450,000 years and so does not justify claims about all times of cold to warm transitions.

ctual measurements for 2007 show that it was one of the coldest years this
century and the coldest since 1995. Compare to figure 1 on page 11 of Heaven + Earth. The claim ‘coldest since 1995’ is clearly untrue. Calling it ‘one of the coldest this century’ (i.e. not even the coldest) is fairly insignificant with only 8 or 9 years (depending on whether you regard the century as beginning on 1/1/2000 or 1/1/2001).
