544th SEA MONKEY

Hello again from the 544th. Well, the “busy season” has begun for our team. We kicked off the New Year by going to the field to qualify with our M16’s, and participate in a zodiac live fire and convoy live fire ranges. During the M16 qualification range, SGT Ross Henderson shot a perfect score. For that, and scoring a 300 on our most recent APFT, SGT Henderson was awarded the Army Achievement Medal, HOOYAH! After the range we had time to prepare for our next mission to Key West, Florida. SSG Tyler Dodd took an eight man team, consisting of 1LT Kozlowski, SSG Langley, SSG Lester, SGT Frey, SGT Turner, SGT Murphy, SPC Sears, to Key West on a job for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), to perform needed maintenance on 35 miles of boundary markers in the Florida Key’s National Marine Sanctuary.
