Here is a picture of the VLX shock with an earlier version of the adjustable lowering kit (square head) installed.
Reassemble the bike in reverse order. Using the hole farthest towards the end of the shock yields approximately
" of lowering, the hole closer to the shock provides approximately 2.5" of lowering.
1. Torque values:
§ Swing arm pivot shaft nut: 65ft/lbs
§ Shock absorber nuts: 33ft/lbs each
§ Drum Link nut: 15ft/lbs
§ Rear axle nut: 65ft/lbs
Don't forget to install the cotter pin in the drum tie rod bolt!
