Hall Information

Canada, Milner and Trinity Halls of Residence are on the St. Augustine Campus.  The Sir Arthur Lewis Hall on St. John’s Road is within close proximity to the Campus.  Joyce Gibson Inniss Hall of Residence is adjacent to the Faculty of Medical Sciences, some 4 km away  at Mt. Hope and only accommodates students of the Medical Sciences Faculty.

NOTE TO APPLICANTS:

A Reservation Fee must accompany the application form.  The fee for Milner, Trinity and Canada Hall is TT$500.00 while the fee for Joyce Gibson Inniss Hall and Sir Arthur Lewis Hall is TT$840.00.  This fee will be refunded if you have not been accepted to Hall (please contact Student Advisory Services).  The fee converts to a Caution Fee once the student has taken up residence and will be refunded upon completion of his/her stay on hall by the Hall Supervisor. The Payment can be made in the form of bank draft, cheque or International Postal Money Order and sent via mail with the completed application.  Cash payments can be made at the Cashier, The Student Administration Building, UWI.  The receipt and the completed application must be submitted to the Office of Student Advisory Services.  Cheque/Money orders must be made payable to The University of the West Indies.  PLEASE DO NOT MAIL CASH!  ALSO NOTE THAT PACKAGES SENT VIA EXPRESS MAIL SERVICE (EMS), OFFERED BY POST OFFICES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED!

On arrival to the Hall, students must pay an additional charge which serves as a kitchen fee.  This will cover the cost of cooking gas/electricity and cleaning materials. Students should budget to pay approximately $45.00TT for these services per semester.
