250 strong, then trooped to the school hall to let down their hair & dance away the hours to the music of Craig. The hall was tastefully decorated with heart shaped Love captions which highlighted a message on marriage. There were novel games & spot prizes to be won at top hotels & restaurants, all sponsored by a very kind donor. A special prize was given to the early bird couple who were the first to register. It was truly refreshing to see our couples, some who were even married for 51 years, dance away their blues. The event was ably compeered by Rohan who got everyone into the mood right from the start.
The morning's enjoyable program culminated with a homely buffet. The couples were all praise for the Family Cell members who worked hard to make the February Fantasy a resounding success.

“All embracing love” in South Bombay
A ring has no beginning and no end, that's how the South Bombay Deanery celebrated World Marriage Day at the Holy Name school hall on 17th February 2008.
The morning began with the Eucharist, celebrated by Fr. Savio Fernandes from Bishops House & Fr. Victor Menezes, Priest deanery family coordinator .
A lot of preparatory effort had gone and the day was a huge success, mainly due to the TEAM EFFORT from the parishes involved.
The Liturgy was prepared by Holy Name parish, and being the host parish they also took care of all the infrastructure, registration of couples
was done by Rosary Church, the choir and the decoration of the hall was done by St. Francis Xavier's Dabul, the sound was sponsored by our Lady of Dolours, Sonapur and they volunteered to get the beautiful family devotional cards that were sponsored by St. Stephen's, Cumballa Hill printed. The penitential rite, readings and the intercessory prayers were done by couples from St. Stephen's, St. Theresa's, St. John the Evangelist, and St. Anne's.
It was a beautiful experience for us married couples, old and middle aged; newly married and very much married. Fr. Savio's homily was inspiring and touched the hearts of every couple present there. “Truly in dying for oneself can one live for the other”.
In keeping with the theme “Prayer and the Word of God in sustaining Marriage and Family Life, a sharing of how prayer in a family can make life beautiful was done by Jaime and Lygia da Fonseca from the Diocesan Pastoral Centre.
After mass there was a short coffee break after which two of the wives who were celebrating their birthdays on that day led the wedding march bringing a lot of memories of our own bridal special.
Lots of games, spot prizes, followed during which couples of all parishes interacted with one another. There was foot-tapping music by Denzil Oliver from waltzes, jive, and cha cha cha to the foxtrot. While the prizes were donated by the family cell members of the different parishes, St. Anne's Mazgaon
