took care of all the paraphernalia required for the novelty dance and the games.
Thanks to Colin our lively compere who kept everyone's spirits alive with rib tickling jokes and his team from St. Anne's Mazgaon. A sumptuous lunch and dessert awaited us, which was enjoyed by everyone.
Finally this beautiful day ended with lots of new happy memories for all of us.

On the 23rd of Feb.'08 about hundred couples of our parish were privileged to celebrate the renewal of our marriage vows celebrating World Marriage Day. The Eucharistic was celebrated by Fr. Elias D'cunha and concelebrated by Fr. Malcolm. Fr. Elias helped us renew our vows in a very unique way for us. He actually made us understand the importance of the vows when he asked us to face each other, look into each others eyes and renew our vows. He made us realise that at any point of our marriage our love for one another should not fade, but grow stronger with every passing year. After a wonderful Eucharistic celebration we were treated to a fun-filled evening followed by dinner.
This event was organized by the youth of our parish. They did a great job by organizing games and spot prizes. Fr. Malcolm's support and love for the couples is It was total entertainment which actually brought us together!!

Family Day Celebration at St. Sebastian's Church, Marouli
Family Day families at
a conglomeration of Sebastian's Parish,
Marouli. It is we share as
a bond of togetherness that members of St. Sebastian
to celebrate Family Day, conceived by Fr. Vincent and approved by the Prerna Samaj Kendra and the Parish Pastoral Council, was to promote the concept of families of the Parish getting together as one Community. This enabled in bringing people together at closer proximity. This celebration also helped in people spending quality time with each other. The idea originated basically to bring people together and was envisioned as something small, but it had major ramifications. In the first year itself, various committees were formed and within a short span of one month, the event was organized. It was a grand success. One and all appreciated the fact that so many families could be brought together to commemorate and honour the idea of being together, reaffirm faith in each other and build relationships. So this year we decided to mount the scale of celebration so that more people would participate and make the occasion memorable. New talents were tapped and we must proudly state that we have a larger canvas than ever before to paint on. In all this, we thank and praise God for helping us come up with a wonderful
idea like this.
The theme for Family Day Celebration 2008 was “Unity in Diversity” and the idea in choosing this theme was that although we speak different languages or follow different cultural practices, under the roof of the church we are one. Bishop Agnelo Gracias was the chief guest. On 13th Jan 2008, the evening
New talents were tapped and we must proudly state that we have a larger canvas than ever before to paint on. In all this, we thank and praise God for helping us come up with a wonderful idea like this.
