What is Waynesboro Family Clinic?
Waynesboro Family Clinic is a comprehensive, private, community mental health center that provides a complete range of mental health services for the entire family, including child, adolescent, adult, family and marriage therapy, substance abuse services, DWI services and Community Support Services. The Clinic specializes in a relatively brief therapy, on average 10 to 12 sessions. The Clinic’s therapists are State licensed, Christian‐oriented, mental health practitioners from all disciplines including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, mental health counselors, and substance abuse counselors. Don Neal, Jr. LCSW, Waynesboro Family’s Clinical Director stated, “Our Clinic’s preferred treatment orientation is called “cognitive‐ behavior therapy” with special concern for the individual within the family context. With that said, the evidence‐based therapy intervention employed will be the one which is most likely to achieve a successful result.”
Waynesboro Family Clinic first opened in 1979. The office is located at 1706 Wayne Memorial Drive in Goldsboro. Interested persons can learn more about the Clinic and its services by going to www.waynesborofamilyclinic.com, or they can call 919‐734‐6676.
Waynesboro Family Clinic’s Director, Don Neal, LCSW has been especially interested in the development of services to meet the special needs of our community. Examples of some of the clinic’s specialized treatment programs include comprehensive educational evaluations for those experiencing academic difficulties, police selection services, eating disorder therapies, geriatric counseling, military adjustment‐readjustment therapy, assistance to those with mental retardation, and Christian counseling.
