Prerequisite: Strong background in mathematics. Text: Student Workbook - 3 chapters, 80 pages; Teacher's Manual - 3 chapters, 27 pages. Duration: One and 1/2 Days. Examination: Two Hours, administered by Central Office Personnel.

(5) Base and Granular Surfaces. This is a short course emphasizing the inspection and documentation procedures required by the Department in the inspection of items covered under Division 300 of the Specifications, including the operation of the PSION Data Collector.

Prerequisite: None. Text: Student Workbook - 70 pages; Teacher's Manual - 74 pages. Duration: One and 1/2 Days. Examination: Two Hours, administered by Central Office Personnel.

(6) Traffic Control Through Construction Work Zones. This course is designed to familiarize Construction Division personnel with the requirements of the Sections 603 and 604 of the Specifications, related Standard Drawings, and the requirements of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices with regard to traffic control in work zones.

Prerequisite: None. Text: Student Workbook - 62 pages; Teacher's Manual - 66 pages. NOTE: Videos used in this course can also be utilized independently as “brush-up” for personnel when work load and time permits.

(7) Introduction to Metrics in Construction. This course is intended as an introduction to the application of the metric system in construction at the Department.
